Legitswim LLC Policies

Weekly swim lessons are critical to making progress in the pool. We know that schedules may vary from time to time, but we have a strict no refund policy.

Please note that our policies are in place to promote consistency for the instructor and student. Should you have any questions, please contact us via phone.

Attendance Policy:

All sales are non-refundable; due to consistent costs for staff and programs regardless of client attendance. We value your commitment to swim training and your participation is crucial to its success. On swim days, clients can expect to receive an email, requesting your response. We ask that all clients confirm or deny attendance by responding to the email with a Y or N. Failure to confirm attendance via email prior to our scheduled start time could result in the cancellation of the scheduled session. If you choose to deny your attendance, a make-up lesson may not be offered. Please contact us via email, at least 24 hours ahead of the session time to request a make-up session.  We appreciate your cooperation.

Private + Semi-private Sessions: Private and semi-private swim training plans typically offer one makeup session in case a scheduled session is missed. However, it's encouraged for participants to attend sessions as scheduled whenever possible to maintain consistency and progress in their training. This makeup session allowance provides flexibility for unforeseen circumstances while still emphasizing the importance of adhering to the agreed-upon schedule. Please contact us via email, at least 24 hours ahead of the session time to request a make-up session.

Small Group Clinics: Our small group swim clinics adhere to a strict schedule, starting and ending promptly for three consecutive weeks. We kindly request all participants arrive 5 minutes early to change into swim attire and check-in. Attendance for three consecutive weeks is required to maintain progress. Missing even one class could impact development, so we encourage participants to plan ahead and schedule accordingly to maximize the benefits of their lessons.

Cancellation Policy

If a swim session is canceled by the instructor, all purchases will be honored for the next make-up session or rain-date(outdoor pool season only). Please contact us via email, at least 24 hours ahead of the session time to request a make-up session. Failure to do so may result in the loss of a session. Please note, that participants should not cancel more than (2) sessions within a 30-day period. Missing (2) sessions puts your registration at risk for cancellation. If your registration is cancelled, remaining appointments are forfeited.

Pool Deck Policy:

To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment, we kindly request that all participants,

parents and/or guardians on the pool deck wear swim attire and deck shoes. If not dressed appropriately, we ask that you remain seated. Additionally, any swimming before or after scheduled training sessions must be supervised by an accompanying adult in the water. Your cooperation in adhering to these policies is greatly appreciated. Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call or email us. We are here to assist in ensuring a positive experience for all.

Online Booking Policy:

All Requests Require Payment in Full: Our booking and registration policy stipulates that all reservations and swim scheduling require payment in full at the time of booking, encompassing requests for future training and reserving multiple sessions in advance. This policy is implemented to ensure fairness and availability for all participants, as well as to streamline administrative processes. An exception to this policy is granted for current swimmers under a monthly swim training plan; they may reserve swim plans for up to 14 days within an active subscription period. However, if payment is not received by the close of business on the 14th day, reservations will be canceled to maintain equitable access to available slots. Expressing interest in swim training is the first step towards achieving your aquatic goals. However, to secure your swim schedule, full payment is required. You can register online through our website or via email using the paylink provided. This ensures your spot in our program and allows us to allocate resources efficiently to provide you with the best possible training experience. At this time, current swimmers who have canceled two or more sessions are not eligible for advanced reservations. This policy ensures fair access to scheduling slots and encourages consistent attendance to maximize the benefits of our swim training program. Contact us if you have any questions. We appreciate your cooperation.

Consent Form Policy:

As part of our commitment to safety and accountability, all participants in our training programs are required to sign a consent form and safety waiver before participating. The consent form grants permission for participation in our programs and allows us to provide appropriate instruction tailored to individual needs. Additionally, it authorizes us to seek emergency medical treatment if necessary and confirms understanding of program rules and regulations. We also request a copy of the signed consent form for our records, serving as a reference for future interactions and ensuring that we uphold participant agreements and preferences.

Safety Waiver Policy:

Our safety waiver is crucial in outlining the potential risks associated with aquatic activities and acknowledging individual responsibility for personal safety. By signing the safety waiver, participants acknowledge the inherent risks of swimming and related activities and agree to follow safety guidelines and instructions provided by our trained staff. This waiver also releases our organization from liability for accidents, injuries, or other incidents that may occur during participation in our programs. It underscores the importance of vigilance, adherence to safety protocols, and mutual understanding between participants and our organization to create a safe and enjoyable training environment.

Weather Policy:

At outdoor pools and even at an indoor pool, lessons can be canceled based on the severity of a thunderstorm. Lightning can travel through plumbing and electrical systems, posing a risk to anyone in the water. The possibility of power outages and emergency evacuations also makes it necessary to err on the side of caution. The pool area + the deck must be evacuated until 30 minutes after the last evidence of lightning is present. We completely recognize how unpredictable the weather can be. All clients receive a free make-up session for any lessons canceled due to inclement weather. These make-up sessions can be scheduled within 24 hours of a canceled lesson. If it rains again on the rescheduled make-up date, you will be eligible for a full refund for the session or sessions affected.
